Church of Goodwill is a newly-launched community nonprofit dedicated to financial literacy, bilingual education, and connecting working families with the resources they need to navigate complicated systems with confidence.
No family should have to navigate the IRS, financial systems, or community resources without someone in their corner — especially not because of language, income, or unfamiliarity.
501(c)(3) Nonprofit · California Religious Corporation · La Mirada, CA
Church of Goodwill was founded in 2026 in La Mirada, California, with a simple commitment: working families deserve access to the same quality of financial guidance, language support, and community connection that wealthier households take for granted.
Los Angeles County is home to one of the largest populations of underserved working families in the United States. Many speak Spanish at home. Many work multiple jobs. Many are first-generation Americans navigating systems built without them in mind.
We exist to bridge that gap — through bilingual financial education, community-based outreach, and partnerships with the organizations already serving our neighborhoods.
We are a community-built nonprofit. Our programs grow with the support of volunteers, donors, and partners who share our vision. We invite you to be part of that.
Church of Goodwill is officially recognized by the IRS as a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization and registered with the State of California.
We are in our founding year — actively building programs, recruiting volunteers, and pursuing funding to expand our community work.

Helping working families understand the tax system — their rights, their obligations, and the credits they may be entitled to.
